To Request an appointment
To request an appointment
- use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday. We will respond during opening times
- If you do not have access to the internet, phone us on 01625 429555, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm where our trained Reception Team will complete the request form on your behalf, as this is a requirement for our Triage service.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. All GP appointment requests are reviewed by a Triage doctor the same day.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
At present you can use your NHS App to book Cervical screening appointments.
Who do I see?
Some conditions can be dealt with more appropriately at your local pharmacy or with another Healthcare service. If you are unsure who is best for you to see, please see our Who do I see? Section.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- by text
Appointments by phone or by text can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
You may also be signposted to other more appropriate services available in the area, for example Pharmacy First (at a local pharmacy) or Accident & Emergency Department.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- using the GP online system – AccuRx
- phone us on 01625 429555, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical advice urgently and you feel it cannot wait until our surgery re-opens, call the out-of-hours service on 111.
You can talk to a medical professional to explain your problem and may be given advice or asked to come for an urgent appointment at the out of hours centre.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
If you, or the patient you’re contacting us about, is housebound or receiving end of life care, we may be able to visit you at home. We do ask that your request is submitted as early in the day as possible, preferably before 10:30am, to help our Triage Doctors plan their visit.
